ALPINE, TX (10.18.14) - The UT Dallas volleyball team put an end to a six-match road losing streak Saturday afternoon with a three-set win at Sul Ross State in American Southwest Conference play. The Comets downed SRSU, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.
The Comets (now 14-8, 8-4 ASC) return to the friendlier confines of the UTD Activity Center Tuesday when they host rival Texas-Tyler at 7 p.m. to open a stretch of three home matches in five days.
Taylour Toso and
Meredith Crawford each finished with a match-high 12 kills while
Samantha Schwenke added 11 kills to round out three Comets in double-digit kills. Setter
Kayla Jordan finished with 28 digs, just over nine per set, while
Bethany Werner had a team-best 13 digs. UTD hit just .185 as a team in the sweep, but took advantage of four service aces.
