Box Score AUSTIN, TX (05.09.14) - Freshman right-hander , Trevor Clifton and Matt Olszewski before Ryan Downs delivered a sacrifice fly to score Clounch with the first run. The Comets blew the game open in the 7th, tacking on four unearned runs, then put the game out of reach with two more in the 8th.

Olszewski sparked the 7th inning rally to put some distance between the two teams with a leadoff double. Downs again drove him home with an RBI single. Downs and Jimmy Norris then scored when SRSU pitcher Derrick Bernard threw away a play to first base. Clounch drove home Tanner Gandy with his second hit of the game.

In the 8th, UTD loaded the bases with three straight walks from Bernard and reliever Hunter Flake. Flake then hit two consecutive Comet hitters with the bases loaded to force in the final two runs.

Olszewski led the way for UTD offensively, going 3-for-4 with a walk.
