Box Score MARSHALL, TX (03.23.19) - The UT Dallas softball team managed just one hit as the Comets dropped a 5-0 decision at No. 6-ranked East Texas Baptist to wrap up a three-game American Southwestern Conference road series.
The league-leading Tigers (23-1, 16-0 ASC) jumped out to a quick 3-0 in the 1st inning off of a four hits, including a two-run homer by ETCU pitcher Beatriz Lara and never looked back as Lara would not allow a UTD hit until a one-out single by
Melissa Livermore in the top of the 3rd frame. Lara would finish the win striking out six Comets while issuing three walks.

BriAnna Young suffered the loss after giving up three runs on four hits in 0.1 innings of work.
Nicole Vasicek finished the game, allowing on earned run on five scattered hits in 5.2 innings pitched.
The Comets (11-13, 7-10 ASC) are not scheduled to return to action until April 5-6 when they host Ozarks for a three-game ASC home series.
