GEORGETOWN, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball finished the non-conference portion of the 2022-23 schedule with a 68-52 road win at Southwestern (Texas) at the Robertson Center Friday afternoon.
The Comets (7-5) were down 31-29 at halftime, but used outscored the host Pirates (7-5) 22-6 in the third quarter to take control of the game. UTD led by as many as 19 points in the fourth period.
UTD shot 40 percent (24-for-60) overall, 5-for-16 from three-point range and 15-for-20 at the charity stripe. They also recorded 32 rebounds, 10 assists, two blocks, eight steals and 16 turnovers.
SU shot 28.1 percent (16-for-57) from the field, 4-for-18 from three-point range and 16-for-19 at the line to go with 31 rebounds, three assists, five blocks, six steals and 18 turnovers.
The Comets had 42 points come from the bench.
UT Dallas Notes
- Four Comets scored in double-digits, led by
Kaylee Boykin's 13.
- Freshman guard
Amanda Crowninshield netted 12 points with three steals off the bench.
- Sophomore guard
Trystan Clark scored a career-high 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting with three assists and a pair of steals.
- Freshman center
Kyra Samuels posted season-bests with 11 points and six rebounds, including five offensive boards.

Southwestern Notes
- Reece Sandercock recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and blocked four shots.
- Aniyah Burke scored 12 points with five rebounds and two steals.
- Ellie Ward added eight points.
