RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball team ran away with a 107-74 victory over Concordia Texas at the UTD Activity Center Thursday night to remain undefeated in the American Southwest Conference.
The Comets (11-2, 6-0 ASC) led 41-31 at halftime against the Tornados (7-5, 4-2 ASC). Concordia fought back to cut the deficit to six points with UTD leading 63-57 at the 10:39 mark, but the home team outscored the visitors from Austin 43-20 in the final 10-plus minutes of the game.
UTD, who received votes in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll, shot an astonishing 68.4 percent (26-of-38) in the second half, outscoring Concordia 66-43 in the period.
Overall, the Comets shot a season-best 58.3 percent (42-for-72) from the field while going 11-for-29 from three-point territory and 12-for-17 at the line. They also registered 50 rebounds, 32 assists - two off the program record, five blocks, eight steals and 13 turnovers.
The Tornados shot 40.6 percent (26-for-64) overall, 8-for-28 from outside and 14-of-22 at the free throw line to go with 23 rebounds, 16 assists, five steals and 12 turnovers.
UT Dallas Notes
- Guard
Kyle Poerschke scored a season-high 32 points on 14-of-22 shooting, one field goal away from tying the program record. He also had six rebounds and two steals.
- Senior forward
James Curtis had a season-best 16 points with six boards and four assists.Â
- Sophomore guard
Caden McKenzie came off the bench to scored 12 points, going 4-for-5 from outside.
- Senior guard
Hunter Stevens had 11 points and a season-best nine assists.
- Sophomore guard
Luke Kiser filled up the stat column with nine points, seven rebounds and a career-high 12 assists.

Will Isaac added six points, six rebounds and three blocks. He moved into a tie for sixth place on the program's career blocks list.

Nick Donnelly scored a season-best seven points.Â

- Jaylon Johnson led the Tornados with 17 points and six assists.
- Donovan Stafford and Luis Gonzalez each scored 11 points.
- Adolfo Martinez added nine points and five rebounds.
