BROWNWOOD, Texas - The UT Dallas volleyball won its second consecutive match, defeating Howard Payne 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21 in American Southwest Conference action at Brownwood Coliseum on Saturday.
After taking the first set, the Comets (2-8, 1-1 ASC) hit .419 with 16 kills in the second set, but the Lady Jackets (6-5, 1-3 ASC) connected on 18 kills to win the frame by two points. UTD recovered to take the final two games in easy fashion, capped with 21 kills in the deciding set.
Overall, UTD hit .322 with 62 kills, 11 aces, two blocks and 65 digs. HPU hit .209 with 44 kills, eight aces, two blocks and 52 digs.

- The Comets move to 22-1 all time against the Lady Jackets.Â

Bailey Schievelbein had a monster match, recording 27 kills - tied for the second most in program history and tied the record for a four-setter.Â
- Schievelbein also hit .520 with 15 digs.

Erin Rogers hit .4017 with 12 kills.Â
