RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas junior Davis Grindle was named the American Southwest Conference Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.

Grindle, from Round Rock, Texas, finished third at the UMHB Fall Invitational with six-under par 66-68=134. He tied the school record for lowest round and broke the mark for best 36-hole score. Grindle made 10 birdies over the two rounds, leading the Comet B Team to a fourth place finish and the tied the for the fourth-best 36-hole tally in program history. 

UTD's top squad won the tournament with a team score of -17 and broke the school records for lowest round and 36 holes. 

The #14 Comets will be back in action on Monday, October 9 at the Alamo City Classic in San Antonio, Texas.
