RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball team picked up its third home victory in a row, defeating Sul Ross State 69-55 at the UTD Activity Center Thursday night.
With the win, the Comets (12-4) finish their season series with the Lobos (6-11) perfect. UTD also improved to 28-4 in the all-time series against SRSU.
The Comets led the entire game, building a 19-12 advantage after the first quarter. The Lobos cut the deficit to one point late in the second, before the home team took a 31-26 lead into the break. UTD continued its momentum in the second half, building an 18-point late in the game before coming away with the 14-point win. The Comets finished off the team from Alpine, Texas by shooting 57.1 percent (8-of-14) in the fourth quarter.
For the game, UTD shot 42.4 percent (25-for-59) overall, 3-for-16 from three-point range and 16-for-24 at the free throw line. They also recorded 40 rebounds, 19 on the offensive end, with 15 assists, 22 turnovers, four blocks and 12 steals.
Sul Ross shot 35.3 percent (18-for-51) from the field, 1-for-8 from outside and 18-for-26 at the line with 33 rebounds, 17 assists, 22 turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.
UT Dallas Notes
- Senior forward
Alex Bowman posted career-highs with 20 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double. She also came up with two blocks and a pair of steals.
- Junior guard
Trystan Clark scored 12 points with six boards and three steals.

Blythe Williams came up with 11 points and four assists.
- Sophomore guard
Amanda Crowninshield added 11 points off the bench.
- Forward
Addy Self pulled down 11 boards to go with seven points, three assists and three steals.

- Emily Bunger led the Lobos with 15 points and dished out four assists.
- Marley Rokas posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
- Jema Padilla scored nine points off the bench.
- Victoria Aguayo recorded four points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals.
