CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The UT Dallas women's basketball captured its fifth victory in a row, defeating Ozarks 60-46 in American Southwest Conference play at Mabee Gymnasium Wednesday evening.
The host Eagles (7-11, 3-6 ASC) led 9-8 after the first quarter, but the Comets (14-4, 6-3 ASC) shot 55.6 percent (10-for-18) in the second to go up 31-22 at halftime. UTD continued to lead the entire second half, although Ozarks cut its deficit to 47-43 with 5:06 left in the game. The visitors ended the game on a 13-3 run to win by 14.Â
For the game, UTD shot 40 percent (26-for-65) from the floor, 3-for-11 from three-point range and 5-for-11 at the free throw line. They also pulled down a season-best 52 rebounds to go with 12 assists, 17 turnovers and eight steals.
Ozarks shot 27.1 percent (16-for-59) overall, 1-for-17 from outside and 13-for-19 at the line with 37 rebounds, six assists, 11 turnovers, four blocks and nine steals.

- The Comets' defense held the Eagles to a season-low 5.9 percent from three-point range.
