AUSTIN, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball team earned a 64-43 American Southwest Conference victory at Concordia Texas in the Concordia Fieldhouse Thursday evening.
The Comets (9-3, 2-2 ASC) set the pace early with the first five points of the game on a
Talia Cloud three-pointer and a jumper from
Cierra Trigg. They led the Tornados (2-10, 1-4 ASC) 17-13 after the first quarter and 30-22 at the half.
UTD shot 50 percent (8-for-16) in the third quarter, outscoring CTX 21-11 in the period. The Comets led by as many as 25 points in the fourth before settling with the 21-point win.
For the game, UTD shot 40.3 percent (25-of-62) overall, 6-for-25 from three-point range and 8-of-11 at the free throw line. They also had 31 rebounds, 18 assists, 15 turnovers, two blocks and 14 steals.
The Tornados shot 42.1 percent (16-of-38) from the field, 4-for-13 from outside and 7-for-10 at the line with 30 rebounds, 10 assists, 30 turnovers, five blocks and seven steals.
The Comets scored 33 points off the Tornados' 30 turnovers and recorded 26 points in the paint.
UT Dallas Notes
- Sophomore forward
Addy Self scored 14 points with three rebounds, two blocks and two steals. She has scored in double digits five timesÂ
- Forward
Alex Bowman also scored 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting. It was her third double-digit scoring performance.
- Junior
Trystan Clark recorded nine points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
- Cloud finished with seven points and three offensive boards.
- Freshman guard
Molly Ly hit a three-pointer and posted a season-best three steals.

Concordia Texas
- Haven Haymes led the Tornados with 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting off the bench.
- Jordan Bravo scored seven points with three rebounds, two assists and three steals.
- Daysha Tijernina scored nine points with a pair of steals.
- Chelsea Cogborn had six rebounds and two blocks.
