RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball team celebrated senior day with a 65-49 victory over Concordia Texas at the UTD Activity Center Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Comets (18-5) improve to 10-4 in American Southwest Conference play and take over sole possession of third place with two regular season contests to play. UTD could finish anywhere between second and fifth place after the dust settles next week. The top two seeds receive byes to the ASC Championship Tournament Semifinals on Friday, February 23, while the third and fourth seeds will host Quarterfinal match-ups on Tuesday, February 20.
The Comets dominated the opening quarter, outscoring the Tornados (4-18, 3-11 ASC) 23-3. The home team extended its lead to as much as 25 points in the third quarter before ending the game with a 16-point win.
UTD shot 38.5 percent (25-for-65) overall, 3-for-17 from outside and 12-of-21 at the charity stripe. They also recorded 41 rebounds, 16 assists, 14 turnovers, two blocks and 14 steals.
Concordia shot 29.5 percent (13-of-44) overall, 9-for-22 from three-point range and 14-of-21 at the line with 34 rebounds, eight assists, 27 turnovers, eight blocked shots and seven steals.
The Comets outscored the Tornados 38-6 in the paint and 26-3 off of turnovers.

Amanda Crowninshield netted a career-best 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting. She also had four rebounds, four assists and four steals.

- Jordan Bravo led all players with 23 points and nine rebounds. She was 5-for-10 from outside and 8-for-8 at the line.
