RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas volleyball team rolled over Centenary 25-15, 25-11, 25-12 in a three-set sweep at the UTD Activity Center Tuesday night.
The Comets (3-2) hit a season-best .420 and gained more and more steam as the match progressed.
The visiting Ladies (0-8) led the first set 13-9 before UTD ended the set with a 16-2 run. Sophomore setter
Sydney Sabin served the final nine points of the set, recording six aces in the rally. Centenary hit .235 on seven kills in the first frame, while the Comets hit .273 on 15 kills.
UTD hit a blazing .500 with 17 kills and only two errors in the second set and held Centenary to -.048 on four kills and five errors.Â
In the deciding game, the Comets recorded an astonishing 21 kills and hit .486, while limiting the Ladies to three kills and an attack rate of .000
For the match, UTD hit .420 on 53 kills, eight aces, one block and 36 digs. Centenary hit .048 with 14 kills, no aces, three blocks and 26 digs.
UT Dallas Notes
- Sophomore middle blocker
Laura See recorded the second-best hitting percentage in school history at .818. She posted 18 kills and zero errors on 22 chances.
- Sabin finished with a season-high 20 assists and career-best six assists, which was tied for the third most in a three-set match in Comet history.
- Freshman right side
Lauren Petty hit .368 with nine kills, both season-bests.Â
- Freshman outside
Emma Mischel had seven kills and six digs in her collegiate debut.
- Sophomore right side
Stella Ballew added six kills and a block.

Mari Hernandez led the team with eight digs.
