COMMERCE, Texas – The UT Dallas women's basketball team played its final exhibition Sunday afternoon at East Texas A&M, falling 81–42 in a game that counted toward the Lions' record (2-1) but served as a preseason tune-up for the Comets.

UTD showed balanced rebounding and defensive effort throughout the match-up, matching ETAMU with 46 rebounds. The Comets also held the Lions to just 3-of-18 from three-point range while generating several key defensive stops.

Umi Otsuka led UT Dallas with eight points on 4-of-10 shooting, and Anna Yellen added nine points and five rebounds. Addy Self contributed across the board with five points, eight rebounds, and three assists, while Danielle Oyakhire added six points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.

For East Texas A&M, Nina Horvath paced the Lions with 18 points, followed by Cora Horvath with 17 points and seven assists. Tiani Ellison chipped in 12 points as ETAMU improved to 2–1.

The Lions led 17–6 after one quarter and 35–19 at halftime.

The Comets open the regular season in Colorado Springs on Friday against UCCS.
