TAMPA, Fla. - The UT Dallas women's tennis team ended its Spring Break travel to Florida with a 6-1 loss to Tampa at the Naimoli and Young Complex Wednesday afternoon.

Being down a player, the Comets (2-5) needed to take the top two doubles match-ups for the point, but only managed to split with the Spartans (2-6). Sophomores Kendall Curley and Chloe O'Connor improved to 4-3 as a tandem, defeating Tal Zinn and Sophie Wagner 6-4 in the second flight.

Tampa went on to win five singles points. UTD picked up a victory at number five when Jhastine Red Ballado topped Regina Davalos 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6).

The Comets will be off until Friday, March 28 when they host Ouachita Baptist at 10 a.m.
