Sara Navarro each finished 2-for-4.
Game 2 - CTX 6, UTD 3
The Comets could not overcome a season-high four errors as UTD dropped the second game of Friday's doubleheader, 6-3, to the host Tornados.
CTX grabbed an early lead with three runs in the 1st and never trailed as the Tornados snapped a nine-game losing streak.
Livermore finished the second game 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, extending her school-record total to 34 steals with still seven games left in the regular season. Moore and Perkins were also each 2-for-3 at the plate.
Down 3-0, the Comets plated a pair of runs in the top of the 2nd thanks to RBI singles from both Gilbert and Livermore. But CTX added a run each in the 3rd, 5th and 6th to pull ahead, 6-2. The Comets scored a final run in the 7th on a Perkins RBI double, plating
Chelsea Sartor, and brought the tying run to the plate.
