The Comets (9-3, 4-0 ASC West) will return to action Friday with a 3:30 p.m. home match with Howard Payne.

UTD needed a little extra effort to collect a doubles sweep of the visiting Tornados as the No. 1 duo of Alberto Hernandez and Mario Jelev edged Holt Fields/Leo Marchesi, 9-8, needing a 13-11 victory in the tie-breaker.

All six Comets singles players would win in straight sets.
