RICHARDSON, TX (07.20.2021) - For the eighth consecutive season, the UT Dallas volleyball program has claimed the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

The Comets were one of 212 institutions from NCAA Division III to earn the award for the 2021-22 academic year while 1,213 collegiate and high school programs were recognized this year. 

Initiated in after the 1992-93 academic year, the award honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.
