SAN ANTONIO, Texas - UT Dallas sophomore Nathan Qi and graduate student Andres Gonzalez will compete in the Quarterfinals of the ITA Men's Tennis Southwest Regional on Saturday.

Qi started Friday with a Second Round win by upsetting #5 Robert Change from Trinity (Texas), 6-3, 6-4. Qi then topped Ryan Hastings from Southwestern (Texas) 6-3, 6-4 in the Third Round. He will take on TU's Ethan Ruppanner at 8 a.m. Saturday in Quarterfinals.

Gonzalez, the #9 seed, disposed of Trinity's Ivan Nikolovski 6-1, 6-1 followed by a tough battle against LeTourneau's Zachary Farris, coming out on top 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-3). Gonzalez will Hai Vo from Trinity at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Sophomore Benjamin Dubois won two matches in the Consolation bracket on Friday. He Drew Gonzales of Mary Hardin-Baylor, 6-0, 6-0 followed by Diego Cromeens from Concordia Texas 6-2, 6-0. Dubois will face Sam Black of East Texas Baptist in the Consolation Quarterfinals at 8 a.m. Saturday.

In the Doubles B draw, #3 Jed De Luna and Aryan Sharma won their First Round match against ETBU's Moritz Hartmann and Carson Crow 8-5. The Comet duo will face UMHB's Barret Scott and Jason Blattner on Saturday as well.
