RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas freshman forward Carson Burden was selected as the American Southwest Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Burden, from McKinney, Texas, recorded a goal and an assist as the Comets went 2-0 at home. He assisted the game-winning goal in the 45th minute in Thursday's 2-1 victory over East Texas Baptist. Burden also scored the final goal of the game in a 3-0 win against LeTourneau Saturday.

He is the fourth Comet to win a Player of the Week award this season.
