RICHARDSON, Texas - Jordan Anchundia joins the UT Dallas staff as the department's first Academic Advisor in September 2024.
His duties include monitoring student-athlete academic success and progress, assisting student-athletes in enrollment, working with professors and the Academic Sucess Center and assisting the Comet coaching and administrative staffs.Â
"The addition of Jordan brings valuable knowledge to our department regarding the academic policies and procedures on campus,"Â said Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator Marci Allison. "Jordan's experience at UT Dallas as a student and Academic Advisor is a tremendous benefit for our student-athletes. Jordan will be advising all of our incoming and continuing student-athletes. This is a much needed resource as we move to NCAA Division II due to the high academic standards of UT Dallas and the increase of competition and travel dates."
Anchundia, who graduated from UTD with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2018, previously spent a year as the Academic Advisor for the UTD Naveen Jindal School or Management. He also worked as a United States history teacher at Hope Christian School in Albuquerque, N.M. and as a teacher at Prosper ISD in Texas.
