RICHARDSON, Texas - Two student-athletes from UT Dallas were named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, Tuesday.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and play in 90 percent of their team's contests or start 50 percent of games.
Sophomore defender/forward Ryan Anderson and junior midfielder Viviana Duarte represented the Comets on their respective teams.
Anderson, from Prosper, Texas, played in all 18 games and was selected All-Lone Star Conference Third Team. He posted two goals and a team-leading four assists and contributed to eight shutouts. Anderson helped the Comets to 11-5-2 overall and 7-2-1 in the LSC, placing second. He is majoring in Marketing.
Duarte, from Austin, Texas, started all 18 games at center mid. She recorded a pair of assists, helping UTD go 12-3-3 overall and to a fourth place finish in the Lone Star at 9-3-2.
