FORT WORTH, Texas - The UT Dallas cross country teams finished 15th on the men's side and 21st for the women out of 40 squads at the Old Glory Gallop at AP Ranch Saturday morning.
Sophomore
Alex Bozhilov, who was the top runner among Lone Star Conference schools, finished eighth out of 403 runners and broke the school 8,000-meter record for the second straight week. His time of 24:23.76 shattered the mark he set in the last race by more than 51 seconds.
Ethan Turner finished 51st in 25:08.55 and
Anthony Stuart was 127th in 26:19.11.
Alan Sutherland (136th/26:24.32) and
Frank Douglas (156th/26:34.05) rounded out the scoring for the Comets.
Sophomore
Alexia Callahan once again led the UTD women, finishing the 5K race in 19:08.70 and placing 76th.
Bharvi Varu was 106th in 19:37.97 and
Ellie Suo-Anttila ran a personal-best time of 20:02.21 for 128th place.
Brianne Vasquez (200th/21:07.18) and
Abby Valdez (236th/21:53.60) completed the scoring for the Comets.
The Comets will conclude the 2025 season back at AP Ranch on Saturday, October 25 in the LSC Championships.
