RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas sophomore Alex Bozhilov was selected as the Lone Star Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Tuesday.

Bozhilov, from Sofia, Bulgaria, was the top LSC runner at the Old Glory Gallop in Fort Worth on Saturday, finishing eighth out of 403 runners. He broke the school 8K record with a time of 24:23.76, shattering the mark he set last week by more than 51 seconds. 

Bozhilov currently has the sixth-best 8,000-meter time in the Lone Star this season. 

The Comets will compete at the LSC Championships at AP Ranch in Fort Worth on Saturday, October 25.
