HOUSTON - The UT Dallas track & field teams set 14 new indoor school records at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge at Yeoman Fieldhouse Saturday.
The records were split with seven for the men's team and seven for the Comet women.
Freshman
Jay Hicks recorded two records, including a 60-meter dash finals performance in 6.88 seconds, placing second. He also had a 200 time of 22.37 seconds.
Freshman
Liam Simmons placed fourth in the 400 meters with a record time of 48.87 seconds. Sophomore
Alex Bozhilov completed the mile in 4:20.51, good for sixth place and a new school record.
Matthew Kenney established a 60-meter hurdle record of 9.18 seconds.
Travis Matchett, Simmons,
Franklin Perez and
Rafe Premo were fifth in the 4x400 relay with a record mark of 3:22.33. Junior
Zachary Carroll broke his own school record with a long jump of 6.36 meters (20 ft.-10.5 in.).
For the women, freshman
Grace Pritchard posted a pair of records. She finished fourth in the triple jump, clearing 10.98 meters (36 ft.-.25 in.) and was ninth in 9.59 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.

Catriona Walker and
E'Mon Mason were third in the 4x400 relay with a record mark of 4:06.69. Freshman
Saniya Bosby established a long jump record of 5.33 meters (17 ft.-6 in.), placing seventh. Mason also had a 400 time of 1:00.19, setting another new record.
Senior
Tia Billingsly broke the 60-meter record in 8.12 seconds. Senior
Abby Valdez established the 5,000 record in 21:44.94.

The Comets will compete in their final indoor meet of the season on February 13-14 at the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan.
