RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas graduate student Melyna Martinez was selected as the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Martinez, from San Antonio, Texas, posted a pair of shutouts as the Comets opened the season with consecutive 3-0 victories in Hawaii. She recorded three saves in Thursday's win over Hawaii Pacific, followed by two more saves against Chaminade on Saturday.

The reigning LSC Goalkeeper of the Year, Martinez was a three-time Goalkeeper of the Week for Angelo State in 2025.

UTD will be back in action on Wednesday at Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee. The match will start at 7 p.m.
