RICHARDSON, Texas - Junior forward Gabby Thompson was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region Second Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Thompson, from Whitehouse, Texas, was an All-Lone Star Conference First Team and D2CCA All-Region Second Team selection. She tied for second in the league with 12 goals, ranked fourth with 29 points and tied for the lead with four game-winning goals. Thompson also came up with five assists.

The Comets finished the year 12-3-3 overall and 9-3-2 in LSC play, placing fourth in the standings in their inaugural season.
