COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Senior midfielder Chelsea Vilca and junior forward Gabby Thompson were selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-South Central Region Teams, the organization announced Tuesday.

Vilca, from Hickory Creek, Texas,was selected to the All-Region First Team after earning All-Lone Star Conference Second Team honors. She was second in the conference in shots and shots on goal and tied for the lead with four game-winners. She recorded 10 goals and a team-best six assists.

All-Region Second Team selection Thompson, from Whitehouse, Texas, was a First Team All-LSC pick, as she led the conference regular season with 12 goals and 29 points and was tied for the lead with four game-winning goals. She also came up with five assists and was 2-for-2 on penalty kicks.

The Comets finished the year 12-3-3 overall and 9-3-2 in LSC play, placing fourth in the standings in their inaugural season.
