Box Score MARSHALL, TX (10.14.11) - The UT Dallas volleyball team had setback Friday night as the Comets fell 3-1 at East Texas Baptist in American Southwest Conference East Division play. The Comets had their 13-match winning streak snapped with a 20-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-19, loss on the road.
The Comets (now 16-4, 11-2 ASC East) hit just .167 in the four-game loss, the lowest hitting percentage by the team in eight matches. Despite the loss, UTD remains in first place in the division, holding a half-match lead over second-place Mary Hardin-Baylor (11-3). The two teams meet up Tuesday night at the UTD Activity Center.

Dana Hilzendager ended the night with a match-high 16 kills while
Hillary Baugh added 11 klls to round out the Comets in double digits. Hilzendager added a matfh-best 25 digs while hitting .333, committing just one error in 45 attempts. Normally solid up front, UTD had just three total blocks, matching a season low.
UT Dallas returns to action Saturday afternoon with a road match at LeTourneau. The match is slated for 2 p.m. in Longview.
