CLARKSVILLE, AR (10.30.21) - The UT Dallas women's cross country team recorded a third place finish at the ASC Championships, hosted by the University of the Ozarks Saturday morning.

Freshman
Madylin Herrera claimed first team All-ASC honors with a third-place finish individually while earning ASC Freshman of the Year recognition. Herrera posted a time of 24:10.7 in the six-kilometer race.
The Comets closed out the meet with 82 points behind champion McMurry (26) and runner-up Mary Hardin-Baylor (49). East Texas Baptist was fourth with 90 points, Concordia Texas fifth with 149 points, host Ozarks sixth with 175 points and Sul Ross State seventh with 180 points.
Hannah Bennett placed 16th with a time of 25:52.6,
Elizabeth Chimitt 23rd at 26:29.7,
Hannah Flake 27th at 26:46.3,
Rebecca Betanzo 35th at 27:25.0 and
Mackenzie Salmonson was 37th at 28:03.7.
The Comets have now finished third or better at the ASC Championships in each of the past nine seasons, earning the league title in 2016 and 2017.
