BULLARD, TX (03.13.21) - The UT Dallas men's track & field team competed in its third meet of the spring while the Comet women made their program debut as the two squads competed at the UT-Tyler IceBreaker on Saturday.

Muaaz Makda bested his own school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.45, placing third, giving the Comet 11th best time in NCAA Division III this spring.
Leon Valdman placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.07, ranking him eighth in D-III.
Christian Kondor ran a time of 4:48.00 in the 1,500-meter run. The Comets' 4x400 relay squad also bested its top time of the spring, placing third with a time of 3:29.15.
The Comets had six runners compete in the 5,000-meter run for the first time this spring with Graham Maclean placing fourth with a time of 16:12.35.
Trent Sakakini (16:18.78) was seventh,
Andres Uriegas (16:26.43) ninth,
Griffin Davis (16:26.82) 10th,
Devan Bailey (16:52.07) 16th and
John Joseph (18:28.37) 32nd.
The Comet women had two runners complete in their first-ever meet.
Hannah Bennett placed 16th in the 5,000 with a time of 20:55.86.
Elizabeth Chimitt was 43rd in the 1,500 at 5:28.75.
The UTD men's and women's teams will head to Abilene during Spring for the Wes Kittley Invitational, hosted by Abilene Christian, Mar. 17-20.
