Karen Lee and sophomore
Andrew Chow were named the American Southwest Conference Co-Women's and Co-Men's Golfer of the Week, respectively, on Wednesday.
Lee, from Southlake, Texas, won the Lidlifter in Kingwood, Texas - her second tournament victory of the year, shooting a 75-70=145 for a +1. She sank seven birdies in the second round and led the entire field with nine birdies over the two days. Lee's 70 was tied for the second-lowest score in Comet history while the 145 is the third best 36-hole tally. Her performance helped the Comets to win the tournament by 76 strokes. This is Lee's second Golfer of the Week of the year.
Chow, of Coppell, Texas, shot a 69-76=145 for a +1 and tying for first at the Lidlifter. He also led the tournament with nine birdies over 36 holes. Chow helped UTD to a second-place finish out of 11 teams.
Both teams return to action on March 19-20 when UTD hosts the Texas Cup at Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson.
