RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas senior Sofia Trevino and sophomore Reese Tortone were selected as the American Southwest Conference Women's and Men's Golfers of the Week, respectively, the league announced Wednesday.

Trevino, from The Woodlands, Texas, concluded her collegiate career as the victor of the Bethany College Classic in Newton, Kan. with an even-par score of 70-74=144. She made seven birdies in the tournament and won by five shots. Her performance helped the Comets win the team title by six strokes. Trevino finishes as the UTD career leader with 150 birdies.

This is her third ASC award of the season and fifth of her career.

Tortone, from Katy, Texas, paced the Comets by tying for eighth place at The Battle at Riverhill in Kerville, Texas. He shot a 70-70-75=215 (-1) and sank 10 birdies over three rounds. His performance helped UTD place sixth out of 14 teams.

The UTD women's golf season concluded with the win in Kansas. The Comet men will finish the year at the Discover Dekalb Invitational in Conyers, Ga. April 19-20.
