NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. - UT Dallas sophomore men's golfer Daniel Shofner was selected to the PING All-America First Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Friday after the completion of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship.

Shofner, from Lewisville, Texas, was an All-American Southwest Conference First Team selection and ranked #9 in the nation by Golfstat entering the championship. He broke the school season record with a 73.65 scoring average, 79 birdies and 26 rounds played. Shofner had five top six finishes this season.

Shofner is the fourth Comet All-American in men's golf, joining Scott Maurer (2003 Honorable Mention, 2004 First Team), Peyton Cook (2004 Second Team) and Ryan Kropp (2021 Third Team).
