DENTON, Texas - UT Dallas concluded the UNT Bill Schmidt Invite on Saturday, competing in four events on the campus of North Texas. The majority of Saturday's schedule was canceled due to rain.
One school record was broken, as freshman
Zach Sell surpassed his mark set on Friday with a time of 15.23 seconds in the 110 meter hurdle finals. He placed fifth and shaved .17 seconds off of the previous record.
Sell, along with
Kameron Quinn,
Bryce Richardson and
Cooper Burgess finished third in the 4x100 relay in 43.06. Senior Graema Maclean finished 10th with an 800 meter mark of 1:56.22.
Junior
Sage Herrera was the only Comet woman to complete an event, finishing sixth in the 800 in 2:22.91.
Including Friday, the Comets set a total of five new school records at the UNT Invite.Â
UTD will be in action again at the Mean Green Relays in Denton on April 6.
