MUSKOGEE, Okla. - The UT Dallas women's golf team finished in 11th place at the 25th NSU Golf Classic at Muskogee Golf Club Tuesday.
Playing in a 19-team field, the Comets shot a 306-309=615 (+47). Rogers State, who is ranked #25 in the nation, led the way with a +5 573. They were followed by Arkansas-Fort Smith (582/+14) and Harding (590/+22) in the top three.
Junior
Mia Gaboriau was the top finisher for UTD, tying for 21st with a 75-75=150 (+8). Senior
Sofia Trevino moved up 30 spots on day two with two-over par 73 on Tuesday. Trevino finished with a 79-73=152 (+10), tying for 30th.
Senior
Maddy Vilven recorded a 75-80=155 (+13), tying for 49th and sophomore
Andra Anderson tied for 61st with a 77-81=158 (+16).
Hayden Trost, playing as an independent, shot an 84-79=163 (+21) to finish 77th.
For the tournament, Gaboriau sank six birdies, while Trevino came up with five, including four in the final round.
UTD will compete at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate in Lawton beginning Monday, September 16.
