WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The UT Dallas women's golf team placed eighth at the Midwestern State Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club Monday and Tuesday.
The Comets shot a 313-306-310=929 (+65) in a 16-team field. The score was the seventh-lowest 54-hole score in program history.
UTD also broke the school record with four eagles this season, as
Molly Woods and
Brooke Yount each sank one during the tournament. Yount also broke the single-season record with her second of the year.
Woods led the Comets with a +14, 80-72-78=230, finishing 29th.
Camilah Porras tied for 31st with a 76-78-78=232 (+16) and Yount tied for 42nd at 78-82-74=234 (+18).
Syrah Javed tied for 48th with a 79-77-80=236 (+20).Â
Along with the eagles, Woods and Yount each made six birdies, while Porras and Javed each converted five.
The tournament was the final in the fall season for UTD. They will return to the course on February 2 at the Texas State Invitational in New Braunfels.Â
