HOUSTON - The UT Dallas track & field concluded the indoor portion of the 2025 schedule at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Indoor Invitational Saturday.
The Comets broke eight school records set at last week's inaugural indoor competition while establishing five more. They competed against teams from all three NCAA Divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.
Graduate student
Ethan Turner was the highest-placing individual for UTD, finishing 10th in the 5,000 meters in 15:42.34. Senior
Nathaniel Brim was 12th in the 800 meters in 2:01.42.
Freshman
Nicholas Holland shaved more than 21 seconds off his mile time at 4:32.74 and finishing 18th. Sophomore
Zachary Carroll was 21st with a long jump of 6.09 meters (19 ft-.11.75 in.), besting last week's mark by 4.75 inches.
The distance medley relay team of
Colton Dillard,
Kaleb Jessie, Holland and
Christopher Castro finished seventh in 11:13.37.
Rafe Premo,
Emeka Ohumaegbulem,
Sam Bartels and
Nick Hofer were ninth in 3:29.02 in the 4x400 relay.
For the women,
Rowen Hughes knocked off .52 seconds of her 60 meter hurdle time in 9.75 seconds for a 16th-place finish. Senior
Sage Herrera also placed 16th with an 800 time of 2:30.92.
Bhavya Varu,
Madison Avery Becki Jeffery and
Ellie Suo-Anttila were foruth in the distance medley relay in 13:42.48.
Rhiana Johnson,
Catriona Walker,
Sasha Simons and
Randi Beckham were ninth in 4:12.08 in the 4x400.
