ROCKWALL, Texas - The UT Dallas women's golf team won its second consecutive tournament, claiming the Texas Cup at Buffalo Creek Country Club Tuesday.

The Comets shot a 325-315=640 (+64), defeating Our Lady of the Lake (648/+72) by eight shots. LeTourneau was third (687/+111) followed by Dallas (688/+112).

All five UTD players finished in the top 10. Senior Danielle Dimafelix tied for second, the best finish in her career, with a 78-80=158 (+14), one stroke off the lead. 

Senior Sofia Trevino was fourth with an 82-78=160 (+16) and sophomore Hayden Trost shot an 84-77=161 (+17) for fifth place. Andra Anderson and Maddy Vilven tied for eighth with 163 (+19). 

Vilven led the Comets with three birdies for the tournament. 

UTD will return to action on Monday, March 31 at the West Region Invitational in Georgetown, Texas.
