RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas junior Chisom Mbah was selected as the American Southwest Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Mbah, from Frisco, Texas, placed ninth in the shot put at the Bill Schmidt Invite at UNT Saturday. Her toss of 11.09 meters (36 ft.-4.75 in.) was the best in the ASC this season.

This is Mbah's second Athlete of the Week award of her career.

The Comets will compete at the Carl Kight Invitational & Multi hosted by Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas Friday and Saturday.
