HENDERSON, Nev. - The UT Dallas men's golf team finished second at the Las Vegas Warrior Invitational at The Legacy Golf Club Thursday.
The Comets shot a 290-290-300=880 (+16) in the 10-team field. UBC Okanagan won the tournament with an even 864. Host #31 Winona State was third with a +19, 883.
Junior
Greg Lewis, playing as an individual, had the low round of the tournament with a 66 on Thursday. He made seven biridies and and 10 pars in the third round and tied for the third-lowest score in program history.
Freshman
Grant McCleskey paced the Comets with an even 72-70-74=216 with 13 birdies, placing fourth. Lewis tied for sixth with a 78-74-66=218 (+2).
Senior
Tyler Durden tied for eighth with a 76-71-72=291 (+3) and 13 birdies.
Hunter Wolfinger made 11 birdies and an eagle during the tournament and finished with a +8 224.
Cole Wiley tied for 23rd and
Banks Tessier tied for 26th.
UTD will be back in action at the Midwestern State Invitational on March 23 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
