ROCKWALL, Texas - UT Dallas sophomore Brooke Yount won individual medalist honors at the 2026 Lone Star Conference Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday at the Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club.

Yount, from League City, Texas, won by four shots, firing a third-round 66, which also set a new school record for best 18-hole score.

As a team, the Comets shot a 299-311-304=914 (+50), which was the fourth-best 54-hole team score in UTD history. The top four teams after stroke play move on to the medal round in match play on Wednesday. All five teams the Comets placed behind are in the national top 27. 

For the tournament, Yount broke the school three-round record with a 75-68-66=209 (-7). She posted 10 birdies and two eagles overall, including five birdies and one eagle in the final round. Yount placed ahead of five players ranked in the top 25 nationally.

Freshman Camilah Porras finished seventh overall with a 69-72-78=219 (+3). Her 219 was tied for the second-best 54-hole score in school history. Freshman Molly Woods tied for 20th overall with a 72-77-77=226 (+7). Both players recorded five birdies for the tournament. Junior Hayden Trost wrapped up the scoring in 59th place with an 83-94-83=260 (+44).

The Comets, under head coach Cole Sondgeroth, wrap up the 2025-26 campaign with a new team record of nine eagles. Yount broke the single-season and career record with five eagles this year.
