GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The 2026-27 women's golf season started on Monday with UT Dallas tied for second at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella.

The Comets shot a 290 (+2), tying for the second-best team round in program history. They sit behind Cal State San Marcos (286/-2), who finished last season ranked number seven in the nation. Cal State Los Angeles (290/+2) is tied with UTD in the 16-team field.

Freshman Anvesha Gulhane recorded an impressive debut round, firing a 70 (-2) with four birdies. She is tied for second and trails the leader from San Marcos by two shots.

Brooke Yount, last season's Lone Star Conference individual medalist, posted an even round with two birdies and is tied for sixth. Molly Woods and Aaniyah Bhola are tied for 20th with a 74 (+2). Bhola sank three birdies, while Woods made two.

The Comets will tee off the final round as part of the leader's group at 9:45 a.m. CT Tuesday.
