Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEMPHIS, TN (09.06.09) – The UT Dallas women's scocer team continued to search for its first victory of the season after going 0-1-1 in a weekend tournament at Rhodes College.

The Comets dropped a Saturday match to Cal Lutheran, falling 1-0 ; then allowed host Rhodes tie up a Sunday match 1-1 after scoring the first goal of the match.

On Saturday, the CLU Regals (2-0) scored at the 38:09 mark of the first half on a goal from Megan Caunan and made the goal stand up in a 1-0 defensive struggle, UTD managed just seven shots on the afternoon, putting two on goal (Katie Makanani and Brittany Ansel). The UTD defense didn't give up much, holding Cal Lutheran to just one other shot on goal.

Leah Bowyer then scored UTD's first goal of the season on an assist from Makanani to give the Comets the early lead against Rhodes. But the Lynx tied the score and neither team was able to come up with a gamewinner in two overtime periods.

The Comets travel next weekend to face Souhtwestern and Trinity.
