Box Score ABILENE, TX (11.06.11) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team made its seventh appearance in the American Southwest Conference title game in nine seasons, but the Comets could not return home with the hardware, falling 2-0 to Hardin-Simmons Sunday afternoon.
The Comets (now 16-4) managed just three shots as they had their school-record 12-game winning streak snapped. Senior

Hardin-Simmons (19-1) opened the scoring in the 22nd minute on a goal by Vivian Wells, assisted by Shannon Byrd. The host Cowgirls added an insurance goal in the 55th minute when Devon Howard scored after assists from Julianne Kucera and Katie Kuykendall. HSU took 11 shots in the contest, five of which were on goal.
UTD likely had its season come to a close with the loss after tying a program record with 16 wins. The Comets advanced to the ASC title game for the eighth time in program history. Bowyer, junior
