SEGUIN, TX (09.13.11) - The UT Dallas men's and women's golf teams opened the 2011-12 season Monday and Tuesday as the Comets competed at tournaments hosted by Texas Lutheran.

The men's squad placed ninth at the John Bohmannn Memorial Invitational to kick off the new year. Mark Kreml led the Comets, placing 15th individually, with a three-round total of 223 (77-74-72). Dylan Carroll finished in 30th place, carding a 230 (80-73-77) over the three rounds.

Men's Results

For the women, Katie Walser was the top scorer for the Comets as they placed 13th in the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic. Walser finished in 57th place after shooting a 192 (93-99) over the two rounds.

The Comet men return to action Sept. 18-19 at the Rhodes Collegiate Classic in Tunica, Miss. The women next compete Oct. 3-4 at the Al Jones Memorial Tournament in Tyler.
