Box Score AUSTIN, TX (10.13.12) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team remained in the American Southwest Conference post-season picture Saturday evening, playing Concordia-Texas to a double-overtime, 0-0 tie.

The shutout was the fifth of the season for the UTD defense. The Comets dominated possession throughout, but had difficulty making connections with a goal.

The Comets (8-4-1, 5-3-1 ASC) picked up a single point in the points standings with the tie, keeping UTD tied for fifth place in the conference standings with just three ASC games remaining. UTD actually leads East Texas Baptist (5-4-1) by a half-game, but the Tigers still have four ASC games remaining. including a match against conference co-leader Hardin-Simmons. UTD has just three conference matches left on the schedule, but only one against a playoff team (Mississippi College on Oct. 27).

Howard Payne (4-3 ASC) is the closest team to catching up with UTD and ETBU, and still has five conference games to play. In the event of a tie, UTD holds the tiebreaker over HPU, but not ETBU, based on head-to-head competition.

Only the top six teams in the ASC qualify for the post-season Championship Tournament, which is set for November 1-2 and 4. In the event all conference teams are unable to play the same number of games (due to weather), the final six seeds will be determined by points.
