Box Score 2 RICHARDSON, TX (04.01.14) - The UT Dallas softball team evened up its record at 14-14 after taking both ends of a non-conference doubleheader with the University of Dallas Tuesday, earning run-rule victories in both contests.
The Comets supported a one-hit performance by freshman
and
lifted the Comets to 3-0 cushion with a double to left-centerfield, scoring Nabors. McHugh would later score on a fielder's choice play on a
Jonelle Feikis ground ball.
UTD added a run in the 2nd on a Crusader error and added two runs in the fourth on McHugh's team-leading fourth home run of the season. With runners on 1st and 2nd with one out in the 5th, Nabors ended the game with an RBI single through the left side of the UD infield, scoring Ervin from second base.
Richardson (4-3) gave up two hits with a strikeout over the first three innings while Aragones allowed just one hit in the final two innings. McHugh was 3-for-3 while Nabors was 3-for-4, both with two RBI.
