Box Score MEMPHIS, TN (08.30.14) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team continued its perfect start to the 2014 season Saturday, using three second-half goals to polish off Covenant College (GA), 3-0, on the second day of a season-opening tournament at Rhodes College.

Samantha Huston sandwiched around a score by sophomore Megan Meguvero to break open a 0-0 tie. Meguvero was also credite with an assist on Huston's first goal of the afternoon.
Despite a 26-4 shot advantage in the match, UTD was still knotted up in a scoreless tie with the Lady Scots (0-2) midway through the second half. But Huston put the Comets on top 1-0 at the 62:53 mark with a followup shot off a rebound with an assist by Meguvero. Meguvero then added the important second goal in the 76th minute, redirecting an Alyssa Burch corner kick into the net. Huston got her final score 10 minutes later, again scoring on a rebound after another Burch corner.
UTD put 10-of-26 shots on goal, and held Covenant to just four total shots, though three required saves from UTD keeper
Macaire Ament, who recorded her second shutout win of the season.
The Comets now have to wait until Sept. 7 for their next game, a road contest at Austin College. UTD opens its home schedule on Sept. 12 and 14 against Southwestern and Trinity Universities.
