Box Score SHERMAN, TX (09.07.14) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team stayed undefeated on the young 2014 season Sunday afternoon, posting its third consecutive shutout in a 2-0 road win over Austin College.

The Comets (3-0) again got a pair of back-to-back goals in the first half to hand the Kangaroos (4-1) their first loss of the season.

UTD scored for the first time at the 27:56 mark when Carli Beckett converted an Alissa Burch corner kick. Then, just seconds later, the Comets were on the attack again and Burch netted her first goal of the season with a header off a serve from Sarah Borg.

Beckett's goal was her fourth of the season while Borg was credited with her second assist of the season.

UTD dominated the game offensively with a 30-6 shot advantage and forced the 'Roo keepers into stopping eight more shots on goal. Comet goalkeeper Macaire Ament kept her shutout streak alive with just two saves.

The Comets will try to keep their season-opening streak alive in their first home game of the season Friday night against Southwestern University. UTD then hosts national power Trinity University on Sunday afternoon.
