FULL NFCA RELEASE
A native of Frisco, Livermore is one of two freshman listed on Friday's 25-player Watch List. The next list in two weeks will narrow the field to 10, and, after that, three finalists will be chosen. The winner will be announced following the completion of the NCAA Division III Tournament in May. In addition, Schutt Sports and the NFCA are also presenting a Division III National Freshman of the Year award for the first time this season.
Livermore has already set the UTD single season record for hits, runs and stolen bases and is on pace to finish her freshman campaign with the highest batting average in program history. Heading into the second day of the American Southwest Conference Tournament Friday, Livermore is 51-of-52 in stolen base attempts, shattering the ASC single season record, and ranks second in NCAA D-III in the category. She is currently hitting a league-best .496 with 69 hits and 46 runs scored.
The Comets currently boast a 23-19 overall record this season and are currently playing in the ASC Tournament in Tyler.
